Inv. #24002
Art Deco Jade and Diamond Brooch
SOLD
Circa 1920s, platinum/18k, American.   This brooch features four lush jade cabochons on a handmade platinum frame. The stark geometry of the frame with its round and elongated emerald cut diamonds (G color VS clarity) is visually juxtaposed by the marquis forms of the jade. The look is modernism, as fresh for fashion today as it was a century ago. Excellent condition.
Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "Art Deco is the food of the fashion gods."
Condition: Excellent condition.
Weight: 12.6 gr
Stones: Jade and .48 carats total weight of G color, VS clarity diamonds
Hallmarks: Platinum and 18k
