Inv. #11777
Ed Wiener 14k Modernist Abstract Earrings
SOLD
Circa 1960s, 14k, by Ed Wiener, New York City.  These abstract motif  earrings are especially fluid examples of Ed Wieners mid- career work. He liked them enough to feature them on the cover his catalog. The crude organic construction is an artists ruse, these pieces are sophisticated and articulate fitting the body adroitly and telling a moving visual story. Excellent condition.
Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "The artist takes flight and finds fashion."
Condition: Excellent condition.
Weight: 18.4 gr
Hallmarks: EW for Ed Wiener, noted that most of the W is rubbed 14k.
Measurements: 1 7/8" high x 1 1/4" wide.
