Circa 1890s, 18k, signed "A.C. Lalli  1895" on portrait, Italy.  Lalli was known for splendidly painted miniatures. The expressive face of the girl and the inclusion of fine details like jewelry, tassels, and flowers in her hair are typical of his work.  The pearls surrounding the image make this piece a lovely brooch. Each example of his work is one of a kind.  Very good condition.  NOTE:  pin stem and catch have been replaced.
